#88: Sign Up For Youth Summer Sports Camps

Local youngsters have an opportunity to learn from top-level high school varsity players and coaches.

Event: Sign up for summer sports camps

Where: Throughout West Islip

When: Now

About: With students across West Islip about to start the final month of the 2010-11 school year parents now have the opportunity to register their children for one or more of the many sports camps that take place throughout the hamlet

Boys and girls looking to hone their skills in lacrosse, soccer, baseball, softball, tennis, football, basketball, golf, volleyball, gymnastics, wrestling, and track & field  have an opportunity to learn from the high school’s coaches and varsity level players.

For example, the boys’ lacrosse camp hosted each July by Scott Craig, head coach of the West Islip High School boys’ lacrosse team, includes Craig and his coaching staff and players, many of who have been state champions. Youngsters have the unique opportunity to learn from these coaches and players.

More information on the summer sports camps hosted by high school coaches can be obtained on the school district website. In addition, information on camps offered by the West Islip Soccer Club can be obtained by visiting the club’s website.

You can thank all these POS politicians for the new gun legislation designed to make law abidingRead More citizens give up their second amendment rights out of sheer frustration and incontinence of owning a gun legally for increases in savage on citizen violence. This is only the beginning and in short time many New Yorker's will be forced to remain in their homes fearing one of these animals will make them their pray. I for one believe in the old adage, it's better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

Has anyone been able to find out if we are losing money renting this building to this for profitRead More preschool? If I under stood correctly from previous post's, there may be some friendship with one or more BOE members which paved the way for their lease.
