Mary Poppins

Students at Our Lady of Lourdes School in West Islip recently performed the musical "Mary Poppins" for family and friends.  The production featured student actors and members of the school band and orchestra, as well as sets created by student artists.  It was directed by Mr. Darren St. George. head of the school's theatrical arts department, assisted by Mr. Dan DellaMonica, Music Director, Ms. Maggie Fatsis, Band Director and Mr. Vinnie Montella, Art Director. One parent remarked following the performance that "Our students are exposed to culture, art appreciation and music appreciation starting at a very early age.  These are the things that inspire young minds to be creative and to bring passion into their daily activities."  To learn how your child can benefit from an Our Lady of Lourdes education contact the School Office at 631-587-7200 Ext. 100.
