BOE GIVES THOUSANDS IN BONUSES

Does anyone know why the BOE told taxpayers that the district doesn’t have enough $ to properly implement the Common Core Curriculum mandated by the state however at the “special” BOE meeting 7/9/13 our BOE awarded a total of $56,000.00 in bonuses to 4 district administrators and to one of those lucky administrators: an additional 3% salary increase? (our district calls the additional $56,000.00 bonuses “stipends”). Wouldn’t that $60,000.00 +/-  have been better used investing it in the implementation of that Common Core Albatross  mandated by the state or will the BOE just keep pointing fingers and telling us that there’s no $?
