Bellone Talks Water-Quality Crisis

Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone addressed members of the Advancement for Commerce, Industry and Technology at their recent kickoff 2014 Executive Breakfast.

Bellone discussed economic activity and his water-quality initiative on the pollution which is causing harm to drinking water as well as bays, rivers and coastal wetlands, leaving Suffolk County vulnerable to major storms. . “We are embarking on a sustained campaign to inform Suffolk County residents about the scope of this problem and to work with the scientific, environmental and business community, as well as my colleagues on all levels of government to identify and fund solutions,” Bellone said.

The business organization met at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury last week.
