546 Montauk Highway, West Islip, NY

There will be a public hearing on June 13, 2013 at 7:30 pm at Town Hall- 655 Main Street, Islip, NY. Thomas D. Blore Architect. P.C. will be presenting a case for J.J. Nazzaro Partnership, LP to obtain a Special permit from the Town/Planning Board for minor Restaurant, parking, front yard landscaping and dimensional relaxations of the now empty lot across from the La Grange on the South West corner of Montauk Highway and Higbie Lane. This lot is zoned commercial in the front for a row of tax payer stores only and residential home in the rear portion. I believe they are trying to change the whole lot to a commercial parcel so they can introduce a fast food restaurant at the location. The plans are available at Town Hall Planning Department and they can be reached at 631-224-5450 for questions. We need to be heard and put a stop to this intended project as we all know what the traffic will mean to residents as well as the aesthetics of our community. While we are there, let's ask the Town if they are ever going to enforce the code violations currently going on at the La Grange.
