Good morning, West Islip. Here's what's on tap as Thursday,
Oct. 17 dawns.
Today will be very much like yesterday temperature wise,
with clouds and a 20 percent chance of rain. The high temp will be 71 degrees
but that will drop to 59 degrees by the time the sunset just after 6 p.m. and a
70 percent chance of showers in the evening.
Coming up this weekend is the West Islip Fire Department Open House. A great event for kids and families.
Hurricane Sandy disrupted many lives in the West Islip area.
Ahead of the first anniversary we're trying to compile the personal stories
from community members about what the storm dealt them, and how they recovered.
