A History Lesson, Staying Up on School News & How the Library Came About

It’s back to school and back to work for West Islip residents today, Tuesday, Oct. 15 and Patch wants to make sure you’re up on all that’s been happening and insight on some resources you may be unaware of.

First off the weather prediction is for gorgeous weather like yesterday with temps in the high 60s so that bodes well for leaf raking, gutter cleaning and yard cleanups in progress.

In case you’re like Patch, where your kids sometimes fail to fill you in on events happening at schools until about five minutes before you leave for school drop-off, each school offers up the daily announcements on the district’s website.
