Local libraries are an incredible resource that often go overlooked and under appreciated. Sometimes it's just that residents tend to think of them as book repositories or an economical DVD rental option.
But they're much more than that and West Islip Library is no exception as it's got dozens of programs running during a given month plus a tremendous amount of free valuable resources for varying age groups.

The library is now open on Sundays and the operating hours are:
Monday - Thursday.......10am - 9pm
Friday.............................10am - 6pm
Saturday...........................9am - 5pm
Sunday.....(mid-Oct ~ mid-May).....1pm - 5pm
