St. John The Baptist Unveils New Gym

Cougars celebrated the renovated gym during Spirit Week.

St. John the Baptist Diocesan High School's Cougar mascot has a new home.

The school's newly renovated gymnasium was unveiled earlier this month during Spirit Week. More than 1,700 students participated in a special dedication ceremony for the gym.

During the much-needed renovation, the gym recieved new flooring featuring a hand-painted cougar logo as well as updated bleachers.

“There have been many wonderful additions at SJB over the years, and the renovation of the gym certainly is one of the most visible and fun for all to watch come to fruition," said Principal Nan Doherty. "I know it will serve St. John the Baptist DHS very well for the next 50 years.”
