Police Searching For Trailer Thieves

Boy Scout trailer was robbed sometime between Jan. 16-18.

 

Suffolk County police are asking the public's help in identifying the person(s) who robbed a boy scout trailer.

The trailer, which was parked in an unfenced lot on the corner of Moffitt Boulevard and Commack Road in Islip, was allegedly robbed sometime between Jan. 16-18, police said. 

RELATED: On Sunday, one resident notified Patch of the robbery and all the goods that were stolen.

According to police, the trailer is a gray-colored 1985 United 12-foot model with a New York registration number BA90915.  Written on the outside of it are the words  “Boy Scouts of America Troop 439 Ronkonkoma NY."

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
